PM Modi to stay overnight in Nagpur on Apr 19 for 2nd phase of LS poll campaign

Nagpur: The BJP’s biggest campaigner – Prime Minister Narendra Modi — will be in Nagpur on April 19 and stay overnight before heading out next day again for phase-2 campaigning. This will be Modi’s first ever overnight stay in Nagpur after becoming the Prime Minister, media reports said.

Modi will address a rally on April 19 at Wardha, where BJP’s Ramdas Tadas is the candidate. According to a senior BJP leader, the PM will stay overnight at Raj Bhavan and it’s the first ever such halt for him after taking over as Prime Minister.

Wardha, though right next door to Nagpur, is included in the second phase of polls just like Amravati which is on April 26.

This will be Modi’s second visit to Vidarbha in less than 10 days. He first held a rally at Chandrapur where the BJP candidate is State Cabinet Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar. He returned to address a rally in Ramtek Lok Sabha Constituency, where the Mahayuti candidate is Raju Parwe from Shiv Sena (Shinde group).

On April 20, Modi is expected to address rallies at Parbhani, Nanded and Hingoli. These constituencies go to the polls in phase-II, which is on April 26.
