Police book VIPL’s female Chief Accountant for Rs 7.89 lakh fraud

Nagpur: Rana Pratap Nagar Police, onWednesday, booked Chaitali Panjabrao Ingalkar, former Chief Accountant of Vidarbha Infotech Private Limited (VIPL), for allegedly defrauding the company to the tune of Rs 7.89 lakh.

A resident of Vitthal Nagar, 42-year-old Chaitali fraudulently opened an account in the name of Preeti Hemant Lanjekar, Vice-President, VIPL, in Samruddhi Co-operative Bank by forging her signature and submitting a photo copy of Aadhaar card in June 2022.

She then allegedly deposited a cheque of Rs 7.89 lakh issued byVIPL Director Prashant Ugemuge in the account. Next month, she siphoned off the amount. The fraud came to light during the company’s internal audit and Chaitali Ingalwar was found guilty.
