Nagpur: Police Commissioner Ravindra Singhal has taken strict action against police personnel found guilty of misconduct on duty. This action has stirred controversy within the police force. The suspended officers are identified as Yuvraj Rathod and Aditya Yadav.
According to reports, Yuvraj Rathod and Aditya Yadav were sent to Pune district for election duty. During their journey, they were accompanied by several male and female railway employees heading to Pune. It was during this time that the two officers allegedly consumed alcohol and began creating a disturbance in the railway compartment. They reportedly misbehaved with a female cooperative employee. When she resisted, they started arguing. Other police personnel present recorded the incident on video. The aggrieved female employee lodged a complaint with the GRP (Government Railway Police).
This incident has led to the immediate summoning of both officers to Nagpur. Taking a serious view of the matter, Police Commissioner Dr. Singhal has suspended both of them.
