The answer was in four options – Poverty, Population, Unemployment or Backward Agriculture. Marks were given on one ‘correct’ answer i.e Population. However, now, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the population is not being seen as problem but strength as a separate Ministry on ‘Skill Development’ has been created,” the minister asserted.
The event is being organised on the joint auspices of Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Fortune Foundation and ECPA (Engineering Colleges Placement Association). Mayor Nanda Jichkar presided over the programme. Deputy Mayor Deepraj Pardikar, Joint Secretary of Skill Development Department, Government of India, Sunil Bhardwaj, Standing Committee Chairman Sandeep Jadhav, Municipal Commissioner Shravan Hardikar, DSK Group’s D S Kulkarni, BARTI Director Rajesh Dhabre, Convener Prof Anil Sole, MLC, and others graced the occasion.
Sambhaji Patil Nilangekar further said that Marathwada and Vidarbha are backward areas as far as development is concerned. Efforts are being made to halt migration of Vidarbha youths to other parts of the state in search of jobs. The youths should full advantage of the Summit with a ‘burning desire.’ The venture has not remained a venture of NMC only. It has become a part of State Government also, he said.
