President Kovind to open new campus of IIM-Nagpur on May 8

Nagpur: The President of India Ram Nath Kovind will visit Nagpur on Sunday, May 8. He will open the new campus of Nagpur’s Indian Institute of Management (IIM).

According to reports, the President will arrive at Nagpur’s Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport by a special aircraft of the Indian Air Force at 9.25 am. He will leave for IIM-Nagpur housed in MIHAN at 9.35 am. The programme at IIM will be held between 10 am and 11 am. At 11 am, the President will go to Raj Bhavan. The time between 11.30 am and 4 pm at Raj Bhavan has been reserved, after which at 4.25 pm the President will depart for Delhi from Nagpur.

The Divisional Commissioner Dr Madhavi Khode-Chaware convened a joint meeting of all senior officials of Nagpur to review the arrangements for the President’s programme. She directed the officials to fulfil their respective responsibilities. R Vimala, District Collector, Basavraj Teli, Deputy Commissioner of Police; Asha Pathan, Deputy Commissioner of Revenue, Dr Sanjay Jaiswal, Deputy Director of Health Services, Hemant Patil, Superintendent Engineer, Public Works Department (Electricity section), senior officers of IIM, MIHAN, Nagpur Municipal Corporation were present in the meeting.

Nagpur’s IIM is a prestigious institute that has reached the global map in a short period of time.
