Nagpur: Prithviraj B P on Wednesday assumed charge as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited (NSSCDCL). He took over the reins from Dr Abhijeet Chaudhari, Municipal Commissioner and Administrator, Nagpur Municipal Corporation, who was holding additional charge.
After assuming charge, he said that making Nagpur city a smart, sustainable and better city in terms of urbanisation will remain a priority. For this, a systematic programme will be drawn-up to complete the ongoing projects in co-ordination with NMC and other local organisations at a faster pace.

Prithviraj also said that after reviewing the main projects going on in the city under the Smart City, a time line will be drawn-up so that the projects are brought online at the earliest. Prithviraj B P belongs to 2014 batch of Indian Administrative Service (IAS). In past, he worked as Collector at Latur district. In recognition of his work in field of health at that time, Prithviraj was honoured with the Prime Minister’s Excellent Civil Administration Award. Ashish Mukim, CA, Director, NSSCDCL, was also present.
