Nagpur: A POLICE Sub-Inspector (PSI) was heckled by a car-borne anti-social element in the Jaripatka Police Station area of Nagpur in the early hours of Sunday.
According to the police, PSI Ananta Garmode was on patrol duty late at night when he noticed a car without a registration number and with tinted windows. He signalled the driver to open the door. The driver stepped out of the car and confronted PSI Garmode. Meanwhile, a woman in the car drove away while the man was engaged in a heated exchange with the police officer.
Later, another official from the Jaripatka Police Station arrived at the scene to intervene. The man grabbed the collar of the police officer. A police vehicle was called, and the man was taken to the police station. He was later released with a notice. Reports claimed that a political leader called the police station after the man was detained.
