Nagpur: Deputy Mayor Munna Pokulwar and other dignitaries on Monday paid glorious tributes to the Architect of Modern India and the first Prime Minister the late Pt Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary. Others who paid their tributes include Corporators Abha Pande, Kalpana Bhanarkar, former Corporators Chandu Meher, Gaurav Hardekar, Ramesh Maindekar, Vijay Manjre, Vijay Gupta and a large number of citizens.
The Deputy Mayor visited Maskasath Mirchi Bazaar and garlanded the statue of Pt Jawaharlal Nehru while paying his tributes on behalf of the city.
Birsa Munda:
The Deputy Mayor Pokulwar also paid his tributes to Birsa Munda, the great tribal freedom fighter, religious leader and folk hero who belonged to the Munda tribe, on his birth anniversary. The Deputy Mayor garlanded an oil portrait of Birsa Munda installed at Central Office of NMC in Civil Lines while paying his tributes.
Others who were present on the occasion include Ravindra Singh Dhurve, Dilip Kudmethe, Devendra Waghmare and others.
