Pune’s firm leads raid at Ganga Jamuna; Minor rescued from flesh trade, woman arrested

Nagpur : In a fresh raid on the city’s infamous bylanes of Ganga Jamuna, Lakadganj police have rescued a minor girl and arrested another woman on the charges of running flesh trade in the locality.

Sources said Lakadganj police received complaint from Freedom Firm of Pune that a minor girl was kidnapped and forced into flesh trade in Ganga-Jamuna in the city. Lakadganj police along with the team of Freedom Firm conducted a raid at Ganga-Jamuna locality, in a building named Indira Kalkhor. It was discovered that the minor girl was held hostage by the accused Manisha Galtu Dhanawat (28) and was forcing the minor girl into sex trade.

During the raid, the girl was found involved in the shameful business. The cops have rescued the minor girl and have sent her to rehabilitation centre. Meanwhile, the accused woman was taken into police custody by Lakadganj police.

Cops have registered an offence under sections 344, 366 (a), 372, 373 of the IPC read with sub sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 of the PITA Act.
