Purple Day is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness about epilepsy. It was founded by Cassidy Megan, a young Canadian girl who wanted to dispel myths and stigmas surrounding epilepsy. Participants wear purple and engage in activities to promote understanding and support for those living with epilepsy.
The event takes place on March 26th each year, with the goal of encouraging dialogue, education, and fundraising for epilepsy research and support services.
We , at SMHRC and DBASI conducted Purple day celebration with NEP and NST students, who conducted a skit in an interview form at DBASI which was well received by the patient’s and relatives which was followed by a Q n A season with patients, relatives and medical students on myths and facts in epilepsy, supervised by Neurologist and physicians.
