Nagpur News: Spelling fresh trouble for former BJP national president Nitin Gadkari, an RTI query revealed that Gadkari owned Purti Super Bazaar located at Aath Rasta square in Nagpur is being run on the parking space reserved for Scientific Society’s Hall.
This has led the citizens to smell rat in the functioning of Scientific Hall’s authorities who have allegedly given away the society’s parking space for the politico run commercial establishment. The matter was unearthed out of sheer frustration of the nearby residents who were distressed over vehicles beings parked outside their houses.
The residents said that the basement of the building was reserved for parking vehicles of those visiting Scientific Hall but the space has been secretly handed over to run Purti superbazaar there. The residents have even approached traffic police many times over the parking nuisance caused due to the space congestion but all their appeals went unheard. At last the residents moved at Dhantoli police station and lodged a complaint against the alleged goof up.
It is also learned that Laxmi Nagar Zone of NMC had served a notice to the society regarding parking about eight to ten years back but, since then, there has been no follow up.
