Raah Foundation’s ‘Samarth’ training centre opened in Nagpur

Nagpur: A ‘Samarth’ training centre has been started in Nagpur by Raah Foundation to train young men and women in employment oriented skills. The centre was inaugurated by Sandeep Joshi, Honorary Secretary of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday, August 23.

The centre is located at Gopalkrishna Bhawan near Jhansi Rani Chowk in the city. On this occasion Sunil Patil of Spectrum Academy, Vidya Rai of Raah Foundation, Dr. Sarika Kulkarni and others were present.

Social Empowerment by Angel One has supported this ambitious project of Raah Foundation to provide employment opportunities to young men and women. The knowledge partner of the project is Unnati Bangalore and the implementation partner is Worship Earth Foundation and Spectrum Academy.

Raah Foundation provides 35 days full-time employment oriented training to economically backward youths and young women in the age group of 18 to 25 years. The foundation is running training centres at Mumbai, Raigad and Baroda. The centre at Nagpur has been started and soon a training centre is going to be started at Nashik too.

In the training class, the students are trained in the major components of Personality Development, GST/Telecomputer Training, Life Skills and Values, Communication Skills, English Speaking. Specially, in the training class, the students are given fully technology based education in the period from 9 am to 6 pm. The project features employability oriented training of students by imparting maximum hands-on training without textbooks.

After completion of 35 days of training, job opportunities are provided in big companies in the local city with the help of Raah Foundation and all cooperative organizations. The foundation also helps the concerned trainee to overcome the difficulties in work and other obstacles for the next 6 months if employed.

Sandeep Joshi admired Raah Foundation and associate organizations Social Empowerment by Angel One, Unnati Bangalore, Worship Earth Foundation and Spectrum Academy for the project. “Today’s students can find the right direction for their future journey if they get the right training and guidance at the right time. Providing employment opportunities to young men and women with job-oriented skill training and further eliminating job difficulties is a very commendable concept and the city needs such a training project”, Joshi expressed.
