New Delhi: The somewhat puzzling ‘news’ had been doing the rounds of many news stories recently that former Governor of Reserve Bank of India, Raghuram Rajan, whose tenure was not extended by present Modi government, was going to be attending the World Hindu Congress.
This was never confirmed by the gentleman concerned but the news refused to die down.
Finally it is crystal clear that he is definitely going to be one of the attendees.

It is true he was sent an invite 45 days ago and he had promised to revert. Probably he declined, but that news is not in public domain.
So though his name and photo is carried on the website of the Hindu Congress, the detailed list of speakers, panelists and invitees does not carry his name.
Nor is his name among list of those invited, but yet to confirm attendance as we learnt from very reliable sources.
