Nagpur: The Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw arrived in Nagpur on Friday from New Delhi. After being received by senior railway officials at the city airport, Vaishnaw reached Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters at Reshimbag where he called on Dr Mohan Bhagwat, Sarsanghchalak, and held talks with him.
Later, he visited Madhukar Bhawan, Reshimbagh, for a night camp. The Railway Minister attended the annual Vijaya Dashmi Utsav of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Saturday. Later, in the afternoon, the Railway Minister visited Deekshabhoomi to pay his respects to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar on Dhammachakra Pravartan Din celebrations. Thereafter, the Railway Minister will visit MEPL ALSTOM Loco Shed at Ajni Railway Colony where12,000 HP locomotives are maintained.
This is the maiden visit of Vaishnaw to Nagpur, an important unit of Indian Railways as two divisions have their headquarters in Nagpur.
