Nagpur: Following heavy rains in the past few days in Vidarbha, Jungle Safaris at various wildlife parks and sanctuaries have been closed. There will be no online booking from Saturday (June 16) to June 30 for Jungle Safaris.
Due to downpour between June 1 and 10, the condition of tourist places in not good. Therefore, the online booking for Jungle Safaris at Pench and Bor Tiger Projects as well as Umred-Karhandla and Tipeshwar Sanctuaries has been closed from June 16 to 30, according to Forest Department.
For undertaking Jungle Safari, the condition of roads should be in top order. But the heavy rains have rendered roads in Vidarbha’s tiger projects and sanctuaries in bad shape.
However, if the local situation permits, the online booking for Jungle Safari at Pench and Bor Tiger Projects as well as Umred-Karhandla and Tipeshwar Sanctuaries could remain open at the entry gates of these places. Moreover, those who had made online booking previously, would be given entry subject to good condition of roads, the Forest Department cleared.
