Nagpur: The sudden shower late Wednesday evening brought good relief to the citizens of Nagpur. Of course many citizens were caught off-guard and had to get drenched.
Many important squares like Lokmat Square, Rani Jhansi Square, Dharampeth areas started to witness water logging.
The Regional Meteorological Centre Nagpur had predicted five days rainfall in Nagpur Region. Earlier this week The IMD official said, “Nagpur will experience mild rainfall for another few days. We are expecting heavy rainfall only after June 25.”
Southwest monsoon has further advanced into remaining parts of central, Arabian Sea, Konkan, Marathwada and Vidarbha. Most parts of central Maharashtra, some parts of south west Madhya Pradesh and east Madhya Pradesh. Conditions are favourable for further advance of monsoon in central Maharashtra and some parts of Madhya Pradesh, the official said.
The prolonged dry spell over Maharashtra has finally come to an end as light rains have begun to lash the Vidarbha region of the state.
