Nagpur girl Rakhi Bhagwate tops SSC exam in entire Maharashtra with 99.09% marks

Nagpur News: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education today declared the Maharashtra SSC Examination Results 2013 at 1 pm. This year girls outshined boys in the Maharashtra SSC Examination. The total pass percentage among girls was 89.58 while boys lagged behind with 88.31.

Rakhi Bhagwate of Prerna Convent School, Reshimbagh, Nagpur brought glory to Orange City by topping the examination, not only in Nagpur but in the entire Maharashtra. She scored 99.09 percent or 545 marks out of 550.

For Rakhi Bhagwate, study, study, and study helped

climb the Mount Marks with 99.09%

 For Rakhi Bhagwate of Prerna Convent School, Reshimbagh, was shocked and surprised as well, albeit, pleasantly when her sister gave her the very very good news that Rakhi has notched up the top slot in the SSC examination, not only in Nagpur but in the entire Maharashtra. Rakhi climbed the Mount Marks by scoring 99.09 percent or 545 marks out of 550.Truly an incredible achievement on any scale. Speaking to Nagpur Today in an interview Rakhi said she could achieve the glory by only and only study.

Nagpur Today: How do you feel to be topper in the Sate?

Rakhi: I am surprised and very happy. I was expecting 95 per cent of marks. I didn’t believe that it was her mark sheet or something is amiss. But when I saw the results I came to know I am on top of the world.

Nagpur Today: What was your first reaction?

Rakhi : I was shocked. I couldn’t believe initially but when my sister delivered the good news I thought I have got wings to fly higher and higher.

Nagpur Today: How did you prepare for your exams. How many hours of study did you put in everyday ?

Rakhi : I studied  regularly. I used to study for two hours and then have a very small break . The total hours I studied could be put at 18 hours a day including school and tuitions.

Nagpur  Today : What do you want to become?

Rakhi : I want to become a Doctor specifically the Gynecologist.

Nagpur Today: Whom do you want to give the credit of your success?

Rakhi: Of course to my parents and other family members for their encouragement and valuable support. The school staff and Bhange tution classes too helped me enormously.  And the Almighty.

Nagpur Today: Who is your role model.

Rakhi : My Father is my Role Model.

Nagpur Today : Your Success Mantra ?

Rakhi : Study, study and study and work hard with determination, refer to text books and give school  papers a serious attention.

Nagpur Today: Your Hobbies ?

Rakhi : Swimming, playing piano and listening to music and reading.

Nagpur Today : Tell us about your family?

Rakhi : My father Harishankar works with Department of Atomic Mineral, my mother is in Forest Department. I have elder sister Shruti who is doing BE in Electronics and Communication from Priyadarshni Engg College and the younger brother Sankalp who is in school.
