Nagpur: A judicial magistrate in Nagpur on Friday ordered Ritika Maloo, the accused in the Ram Jhula accident case, to be held in magisterial custody until October 24. Following the ruling, she was transferred to Nagpur Central Jail. The state CID had requested an extension of her custody for further interrogation, but the magistrate rejected the plea.
Meanwhile, Maloo’s bail application was also discussed in court on Friday, with the next hearing scheduled for October 14. The prosecution has argued that the application is no longer valid, while the defense continues to push vigorously for her release on bail.
