Nagpur News: Shivajirao Moghe Minister of Social Justice and Special Assistance Department, Government of Maharashtra unveiled the Statue of Rastrasant Tukdoji Maharaj, at University Campus Sunday evening.
Vilas Muttemwar, MP,Nagpurconstituency and Shivajirao Moghe pledged support to RTMNU and announced funds for the development of theNagpuruniversity and the students.
MPVilas Muttemwar Pledged a contribution of about 50 lakhs. Moghe too assured to contribute adequate funds for theNagpurUniversityto strengthen the initiatives of Rashtrasantsant Tukdoji Maharaj.
At the function the Minister lauded the University for beginning RTMNU’s Foundation stone laying ceremony of ‘GRAM GEET BHAVAN’ at university Campus which is envisage to face a centre of learning & Research in the Philosophy and ideology projected by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj.
Vice Chancellor Vilas Sapkal expressed his gratitude to the guests during the programme. He emphasized on spreading the values taught by the Rashtrasant Tukadoji to the students. Todays youth should try to follow in his footsteps.
MP Vilas Muttemwar recollected the memories when he took the initiative of issuing a commemorative stamp in his name. He further said “ A lot of problems that our society is facing can be solved if we practice the values and teachings of Rastrasant. ”
Mayor Anil Sole, Vikas Thakre, ProVC Mahesh kumar Yenkie, Baban Taywade, University Registrar Ashok Gomashe were prominently present during the inauguration Programme.
University officials, teachers and students were gathered in large numbers for the inauguration.
