Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh is anti-Dalit: P L Puniya
Nagpur: RSS chief Mohan Bhagawat’s reservation-related remarks worked like pelting a stone at hornets’ nest. The Wednesday witnessed wide-spread protest against RSS. Even Congress leader and Chairman of National Commission for Scheduled Caste and Tribe, P L Puniya, who was in the city on Wednesday, termed RSS as anti-Dalit while talking to media persons at Ravi Bhavan.
Puniya further said, Bhagawat’s remarks have revealed the hidden agenda of RSS, and it is confirmed that the Sangh is against the Dalits and backward.
According to him, the Sangh always puts on a mask, first Bhagawat’s statement, then an explanation furnished over it. More over, the BJP’s shying away from Bhagawat’s remarks indicates that the Sangh and its internal partners are not in unison, he pointed out, adding that the Sangh should better take its allies into confidence in order to arrive at a consensus and then speak out. The controversial statement made by Bhagwat also proves the Sangh is never with the Dalits.
Puniya is in the city to participate in public hearing of the Commission.
