Nagpur: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) conducted raids at six locations under the Nagpur Division in a single day. Six dalals were arrested from places like Nagpur, Rajnandgaon, Gondia, and other places.

Tickets worth lakhs of rupees, along with various materials, were seized. The operation was carried out under the guidance of Deep Chandra Arya, Security Commissioner of the South East Central Railway’s Nagpur Division. With the festive season leading to an increase in passengers, ticket black marketing has also been on the rise. In response, the RPF has become more active.

The RPF plays a crucial role in apprehending criminals involved in various railway-related crimes and curbing such offenses. In line with this, during the current festive season, there has been a surge in the number of passengers travelling by train, leading to a high demand for reserved tickets. This has prompted illegal ticket agents to become more active. To counter this, RPF officers, post in-charge personnel, and members of the Crime Intelligence Branch (CIB) have intensified their operations, continuously raiding and investigating areas under their jurisdiction. Action is being taken against individuals found engaging in the illegal ticket trade under the Railway Act.
