Rs 12 lakh cash stolen from Ramdaspeth house

Nagpur: In a major incident, Rs 12 lakh in cash were stolen from a house in posh Ramdaspeth locality. The theft occurred between December 30, 2018 and January 23, 2019 when the owners had gone out of station.

A resident of Flat No. E2, Vandana Housing Society, Ramdaspeth, Nandita Ravindra Tripathi (44) told police that she had kept Rs 12 lakh cash of real estate in her trolley-like bag in bedroom. The money was to be used for heart surgery of her father. In the meantime, Nandita, her parents and brother went to Goa for some work between December 30, 2018 and January 23, 2019. However, when they returned, Nandita found the bag in which Rs 12 lakh were kept missing. After searching for the bag and failing to trace it, Nandita registered a case with Sitabuldi police in this connection.
