Nagpur: In a letter to Mahagenco, the MSEDCL has also taken up matter of less availability of power from Mahagenco units.
Mahagenco power plants are not generating power as per demand and as per commited supply, Due to which the state has to purchase high cost electricity of 12 Rs/KWHr from Central share which is direct burden on people of Maharashtra state.
This is the condition even after purchasing high cost imported, washed and RcR coal which was started in the name of coal scarcity. Mahagenco is not able to generate sufficient power as well as they are not in condition to increase coal stock at their all power plants.
