Nagpur: Despite there being no mention of paying any kind of fees by the students studying under the Right to Education Act, regular fees are being collected by the schools.
Taking the matter seriously, a delegation of parents under the leadership of RTE Action Committee Chairman Mohd Shahid Sharif, handed over a memorandum to Sushila Bansod, in-charge Deputy Education Officer. The memorandum pointed out that five RTE students of class IV were deprived of the examination. The management of Sanskar Bharti told the students that they will be allowed to appear for the exam on the condition of paying Rs. 6000 fee.
In this context, Sushils Bansod has assured to take immediate action and to refund the amount of fees taken earlier. The parents including Ghanshyam Sorte, Parveen Dalal, Prashant Wankhede, Pintu Mende and Shashikant Davre were present on the occasion.
