Nagpur News: The Examination section premises of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University at LIT Campus will now be under full surveillance of CCTV cameras. RTMNU has received funds of 37 lakhs for installation of close circuit television camera’s (CCTV) from District Planning& Development committee (DPDC).
These CCTV cameras will now keep a close eye round the clock on all the workings of the examination section premises. Earlier this move of installation of CCTV cameras was not welcome by some sections. But the Controller of examination took initiative in this concern and made it possible that the CCTV cameras get installed in all the sections in the premises.
Around 36 cameras will be keeping a close watch on the examination section premises along with store room and record room and data of 1 month can be saved in it.
The monitoring room will be in the new cabin of the Controller of Examinations on the third floor.
Examination section is very sensitive and secretive section and requires vigilant security. Earlier some students had created ruckus in the building. However, there are only four security guards here, whereas the main administration office at Maharajbagh has over dozen security guards.
