Nagpur: In its aim to introduce IT reforms and “technology based examination’ Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) will be introducing Barcoding in the examination from summer 2015-16 examination.
The university, in its initiative to improve the examination process, had planned to implement the recommendations of Rajesh Agrawal Committee. It was a long awaited decision .
Actually last year in the summer examination of 2014, the barcodes on answers sheets were introduced. However, the university did not get the scanners for scanning the answer sheets,then.

“Barcoding process will be very good for improving the examination system. Due to some technical reason this initiative was stuck.The printing of barcoded answersheets will be completed soon. To ensure answersheets are properly filled up during the examinations, workshops of the affiliated colleges will be held,” said pro-VC.
