Rural HQ cop knocked dead by speeding Scorpio in Jaripatka

Nagpur: A policeman attached to Nagpur Rural Headquarters was killed when the motorcycle he was riding was hit by a recklessly driven Scorpio car in the wee hours of Monday. Cops have booked the unidentified Scorpio driver and searching him.

The deceased policeman Rajesh Pandurang Uike (40), resident of Quarter No. 7/8, Rural Headquarters, in Jaripatka area, was returning home from Kamptee around 2 am on Monday. When Rajesh reached in front of Rural Headquarters, the rashly driven Scorpio rammed his motorcycle with forceful impact. As a result, Rajesh crashed on the road with a thud and received critical injuries. He died on the spot before medical help could be provided to him.

Jaripatka API Wagh, based on a complaint of filed by his son Rushabh (19), booked the unidentified Scorpio driver under Section 304(A) of IPC read with Sub-Sections 134, 177 of Motor Vehicles Act and searching for him.
