It was just a moment mixed with business and leisure when Agro Vision 2013 started on Thursday. And Friday too saw the excitement carried forward at Reshimbagh ground where Agro Vision is being held.
Agriculture Minister of Rwanda Dr Agnes Kalibata who was the chief guest on occasion started his speech in an interesting note. She pulled off smartly before the audience with her words ‘mananiya shetkari namaskar’, intended to catch the Marathi manus attention.
She also invited Vidarbha farmers to Rwanda as she boasted the agricultural process in her country.
Many people mostly farmers from Nagpur and entire Vidarbh region braved the chilling winds on Friday to get hands on information regarding advanced technologies and tools along with latest methodologies involved in agriculture.
The exhibition cum workshop session would continue till 27th January. A total of 40 workshops would be undertaken till the event continues. 60 experts from various agro sectors are presiding over these workshops.
More than 150 renowned companies are participating in Agro Vision.
The exhibition displays tractor, agriculture equipments, seeds, fertilizers, insecticides, irrigation tools and pipes among other useful agricultural products.
Agriculture University, government departments, financial institutions, saving groups, social organisations and many small scale industries have also presented their stalls at the event.
