Nagpur: Following the directives of Nagpur Police, Public Works Department (PWD) has started to erect a 10 feet wall around Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis’s Devgiri bungalow in Civil Lines here, on Saturday.
In the wake of the Winter Session in Nagpur, which will commence on December 19, Nagpur cops, as a precautionary measure took this step, according to sources.
The 10 feet wall along with barbed wire on the top is being constructed around Devgiri bungalow. Notably, preparations for the Winter Session of the State Legislature to be held in the Second Capital of the State are in the final stage. The Winter Session has set to return to Nagpur after a gap of two-years due to pandemic.
It was reported that the expenditure will be up by 30-40% this time. Earlier, Rahul Narvekar, Speaker, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly along with Neelam Gorhe, Deputy Chairperson of Maharashtra Legislative Council paid a visit to Vidhan Bhavan in Nagpur to take stock of preparations for the Winter Session of Maharashtra Legislature.
