Shashi Kapoor left for heavenly abode last year in December leaving everyone grief-stricken. The whole industry had come to a standstill after his demise. Celebs rushed to pay their last respects to the veteran actor. Last Sunday was his birth anniversary and to celebrate the same, the entire Kapoor gang got together for some food and banter. We are pretty sure they must have shared stories about the actor who is no longer with us. The picture has Kapoors as one big happy family. The dinner was apparently hosted by Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
There are also the Jain brothers, their mother, Shashi Kapoor’s son and his grandson as well. Randhir Kapoor was also present. However, Ranbir Kapoor was nowhere to be seen. The actor is in Bulgaria shooting for Brahmastra with Alia Bhatt, Ayan Mukerji and Mouni Roy. Guess that’s why he had to give it a miss. They seemed to have a great time. Randhir Kapoor had revealed to Mid-Day after Shashi Kapoor’s demise how much he loved family celebrations. He had said, “My uncle (Shashi Kapoor) was a family man and always believed in celebrations. In fact, he had told us that we should not mourn his death and instead, celebrate his life. I think his kids are just doing that and are paying an ode to him. Like my father, Raj Kapoor said, ‘The show must go on.” Guess his family wants to continue with the tradition.
