The group of young beautiful married girls went beyond usual activities this season and celebrated Karwa Chauth pre-bash ‘Sagna di Sham’ in a novel, yet picturesque way! Atrium of the venue got filled already with gorgeously attired ladies welcoming their mates, when twittering begun then and there.

A tradition of celebrating ‘Sagna Di Sham’ in an enthusiastic manner was kept intact by this circle, the do consisting of lucky draws, one minute games, raffle tickets, ladies utility gift as prizes for Miss ‘high heels’, ‘designer sindoor’, ‘youngest bride’, ‘maximum bangles’, etc! Presence of the Chudiwala (bangle vendor), the photo-booth, and many such little elements added to the entertainment. It was more about fellowship and friendship, and most money got collected for the charity.

The smiles on elegant faces and the sincerity towards the indispensable relationship with their partners were evident. So, no opportunity to capture the essence of the festival and make this Karwa Chauth party a memorable occasion was missed! Celebration of Karwa Chauth is all about praying for the longevity of husbands by their wives by fasting. So did the elite ladies from Nagpur Ladies Circle 50, grouping up and meeting a day before the Karwa Chauth.

This traditional festival is believed to strengthen the bond of love and trust between wife and husband. Hence, the ladies shared the social significance of the festival with each other, by meeting up at a grand function, that included dance, masti galore, Karwa Chauth rituals, the sagan mehendi, giving and receiving of sagan and much more..

Each ‘suhagan’ carried dresses and accessories, none less than the designer ones! A few even hit ‘thumke’ when they danced together on peppy numbers. The ladies were spotted sharing their plans for ‘the day’, and special little things that they shall be doing to make their hubbies feel special!
