Nagpur: Sanjay Taksande has been appointed as Director (Operations), Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (Mahatransco). He has been appointed through direct selection procedure.
He took charge of the new post in Mumbai recently. Prior to taking over the new assignment, he was working as Regional Director, MSEDCL, Pune region. Having a vast experience of 29 years in power sector with serving several important positions, Taksande joined the then MSEB headquarters, Mumbai as Executive Engineer.

He then worked as Superintending Engineer in Vasai and Buldana and later served as Chief Engineer in Akola in Amravati division. In October 2015, he was appointed as Executive Director (Distribution) through direct selection procedure and he handled the responsibilities of distribution, load management, inventory management and distribution franchise along with looking after Nagpur, Gondia, Chandrapur Amravati, Akola, Pune, Baramati and Kolhapur divisions.
Before joining the State-run power company, Taksande worked with Central Electricity Authority, New Delhi and Powergrid Corporation of India, Mumbai.
