Nagpur: A team of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) on Wednesday retrieved the bodies of driver Leeladhar Hiwre (38), Darsh Narendra Chowkikar (10) and Nirmala Madhukar Patil (60), who met watery grave with three others after their Mahindra Scorpio SUV was swept away in the flooded nullah on Chhatrapur-Nandagomukh road, in Saoner taluka last afternoon.
Leeladhar Hiwre and Darsh were the residents of Zingabai Takli while Nirmala Patil was a native of Datora, Multai, district Betul (MP).
Bodies of Roshni Narendra Chowkikar (32), a resident of Zingabai Takli, Madhukar Patil (65), a resident of Datora, taluka Multai, district Betul,
Madhya Pradesh (MP) and Nimu Aathner (45), a resident of Jamgaon, Multai, MP were fished out from the submerged vehicle on Tuesday evening.
The SDRF personnel, with the assistance of policemen and local fishermen, had launched a massive search for the missing persons and found their bodies on Wednesday. The bodies have been sent for post- mortem.
Notably, on Tuesday afternoon, Leeladhar Hiwre, who was driving the Mahindra Scorpio SUV (MH-31/CP-0299) allegedly at a high speed tried to cross the overflowing bridge on Chhatrapur-Nandagomukh Road. Suddenly, he lost control of the SUV and it swept away.
