Nagpur: A case of cheating by President of Jaivijay Higher Primary school, Bhandewadi, Nagpur has come to light.
According to police sources, one Madhukar Mahadeorao Maske, 67, who is Jaivijay Higher Primary school committee’s President and a resident of Plot no. 369, New Nandanwan Layout, Nagpur opened a new account in the same bank where the school has. The school has a bank account in Union Bank of India, Wardhaman Nagar branch coming under Lakadganj police station. Maske deposited the cheque in new account which he got from the Education Department as fund for school and for Scholarship amounting to Rs 1,42,358. The new account he is alleged to have opened for his personal gain. Soon after the cheque was encashed he withdrew Rs 40,000 from the account without anybody’s knowledge.
Sanjay Chintaman Bondre, 49, resident of Juna Kailash Nagar lodged a complaint with the police. Police constable of Lakadganj police has registered an offence under section 406, 420 of IPC against Madhukar Maske. Further investigation is going on.
