Nagpur: With an aim to impart Science education among students as well as citizens, the Science Express climate action train arrived in the city today. The train, on the very first day of its arrival, was visited by hundreds of students of seven different schools. The train is scheduled to be stationed at platform number 8 of Nagpur Railway Station till 3rd August. The free of cost exhibition can be attended from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Science Express is an innovative mobile science exhibition of Department of Science & Technology (DST), Govt. of India, mounted on a 16 coach AC train. With the objective of arousing interest of the young people in the field of science and technology and updating them about the climate, the exhibition was launched.
The state-of-the-art exhibition aboard SECAS aims to create awareness among various sections of society, especially students, as to how Climate Change can be combated through mitigation and adaptation. It also displays information related to various factors of climate change, case studies and problems & probable solutions of current climatic issues.
