Nagpur : Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies, Nagpur recently celebrated Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Diwas with lots of fervour and enthusiasm to mark the birth anniversary of Marathi poet, playwright, novelist and short story writer Shri Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar popularly known as ‘Kusumagraj’. Eminent personalities from the field of Marathi were invited as chief guests.
The guests at the event were Mrs Sana Pandit, poet, Mrs Sayli Pidli, Teacher, announcer and Mr Shyam Hedau, journalist and motivational speaker. They emphasised on the importance of learning and speaking Marathi.
They spoke about the exemplary work done by Shri Kusumagraj which brought him notable recognitions in the form of Sahitya Akademi Award, Padma Bhushan and Jyanpith Award.
The event was organised by a team of students under the guidance of Dr. Sameer Pingle, Director SCMS, Nagpur.
