The Special Women’s Cell, led by Police Inspector Kamal Jadhav and her team raided a flat in Byaramji Town after a tip-off. The raid was carried in Flat No. 302, Third Floor, Sundaram Apartments in the area. However, before the raid, the police sent a dummy customer to the flat in order to confirm and be 100 per cent sure of the sex racket. The dummy customer did his job perfectly as the operator of the sex racket called two-three girls for the customer. However, as soon as the Special Women’s Cell received the signal, they gate-crashed the flat and found the dummy customer and one of the girls in a compromising position.

The Special Cell detained the mastermind of the sex racket Mangala  (Name changed) who was running the flesh trade in the posh flat having 3-4 rooms slyly for the past 15-16 years without coming into notice of other flat owners. The subsequent frisking of the entire flat led to recovery of dozens of condoms of different companies, cash of Rs 50,000-60,000, and other material like cell phones.

Raid-1

The mastermind Mangala  (50) is a divorcee and her second husband is a truck driver. Her father is or was truck driver. However, so far the police could not ascertain whether the posh flat was her own or she was staying on rent. Sources said, Mangala  has reportedly confessed running of sex racket since the past several years. At present, Mangala and 2 or three girls have detained by the police and probing matter further. The names of the detained girls have been held back.

And for the Police Inspector Kamal Jadhav of Special Women’s Cell of Nagpur Police Crime Branch, it is a kind of proud achievement as the raid was her 25th raid in her career so far in Nagpur.
