Los Angeles: Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan was detained at Los Angeles airport by the immigration department on Friday.
Venting his frustration at being repeatedly stopped at US airports, the actor wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter: “I fully understand & respect security with the way the world is, but to be detained at US immigration every damn time really really sucks.”
The actor, however, seemed to keep his calm tweeting: “The brighter side is while waiting caught some really nice Pokemons.”
This is not the first time that the actor has been detained at a US airport.
In 2012, he was detained at the New York airport for over two hours by immigration officials. The US customs and border protection authorities had expressed “profound” apologies for his detention then.
In 2009, Khan was also detained by immigration officials at the Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey because his name came up on an alert list.
