Nagpur: Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena has announced its first list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections, with 65 names included. In Nagpur district, Vishal Barbate has been nominated from the Ramtek constituency.
The first list features 14 out of 15 sitting MLAs being given another chance to contest under the Thackeray faction’s banner. One of the key points of interest has been the candidate who will face off against Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Uddhav Thackeray has fielded a strong candidate, Kedar Dighe, the nephew of Dharmveer Anand Dighe, from this crucial seat.
Notable candidates from the list include Aaditya Thackeray from Worli, Dipesh Mhatre from Dombivli, Subhash Bhoir from Kalyan Rural, Naresh Manera from Ovala-Majiwada, Kedar Dighe from Kopri-Pachpakhadi, Rajan Vichare from Thane, M.K. Madhvi from Airoli, and Uddesh Patekar from Magathane.
