Nagpur: The Municipal Corporation has announced a planned 24-hour shutdown on Saturday, June 22, 2024, starting from 10:00 AM to 10:00 AM on June 23, 2024. This shutdown is necessary to undertake interconnection work for the newly laid 300mm diameter D.I pipeline to the existing 300mm diameter D.I pipeline at Prajapati Square. The shutdown will affect the Bharatwada ESR Command area in the Lakargenj Zone.
The following tasks will be executed during this period:
1. Mailing of 300mm x 300mm D.I
2. Interconnection of two 300mm x 200mm pipelines
3. Interconnection of a 300mm x 250mm pipeline
This project will be executed by GDCL (Contractor of NHAI), who have shifted the pipeline to facilitate the construction of a 4-lane flyover at Deshpande Layout, near Haldiram Bungalow, Prajapati Square, CA Road.
As a result, the following areas will experience an interruption in water supply:
Deshpande Layout, Adarsh Nagar Slum, Prajapati Nagar, Nehru Nagar, Shailesh Nagar, Trimurty Nagar, Kamakshi Nagar, Sadashiv Nagar, Ghar Sansar Society, Salasar Vihar, Wathoda Juni Wasti, Hiwri Kota, Malgade Layout, Kawre Layout, Maa Sharda Nagar, New Suraj Nagar, Devi Nagar, Sonaba Nagar, Vedbhumi Umiya Colony
Residents in the affected areas are advised to make temporary storage arrangements in advance to mitigate any inconvenience caused by the water supply interruption.
