Nagpur: In a collaborative effort between Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), Maha Metro, and MIHAN India Limited, a new shuttle bus service between Airport Metro Station and Nagpur Airport has been inaugurated. The commencement of this service marks a significant step towards enhancing connectivity and convenience for air travellers.
Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), Maha Metro, and MIHAN India Limited joined forces to launch the shuttle bus service. The inaugural ceremony took place at the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport premises.
Distinguished personalities attending the ceremony included Anil Kokate, Director of Maha Metro; Suresh Bagle, Municipal Deputy Commissioner; Mohammad Abid Ruhi, Airport Director of MIHAN India Limited; Mahesh Morone, Senior Deputy General Manager of Maha Metro; S G Rao, Deputy General Manager of Metro; Kumar Ranjan Thakur, Company Secretary of MIHAN India Limited; and Amit Kastwar, Joint General Manager (Airport), NMC Transport Administrative Officer Ravindra Pagey, among others.
The shuttle bus service operates two electric air-conditioned buses, each with a seating capacity of 45 passengers, provided by Nagpur Municipal Corporation. Passengers utilizing the service will be charged a nominal fare of Rs. 12 for travelling between Airport Metro Station and Nagpur Airport.
The electric air-conditioned shuttle buses will be available to passengers from 6 am to 10 pm, facilitating travel during most hours of the day. The launch of this shuttle bus service aims to improve connectivity between the Airport Metro Station and Nagpur Airport, streamlining the commute for air travellers.
The service is expected to cater to the growing transportation needs of passengers, providing a cost-effective and eco-friendly mode of transport. The shuttle service will operate within a time frame from 6 am to 10 pm, ensuring that it accommodates the diverse schedules of passengers travelling to and from Nagpur Airport.
