Nagpur News : Today Municipal Commissioner, Shyam Wardhane inspected encroachments at old Bhandara road, Pardi, CA road, Buldi and Maharajbaugh road and gave orders for removal of encroachments.
The inspection covered area from old Bhandara road to Gomati Hotel,CA road to Azamshah square. Following directives from High Court for removal of encroachments, commissioner, Shyam Wardhane today carried out inspection of these areas along with police officials.
Municipal commissioner was accompanied by superintending engineer, Prakash Urade, executive engineer,Manoj Talewar,assistant commissioner, D D Patil, assistant police commissioner, M S Gawande, traffic inspector D M Sheikh, inspector, Ashfaq Sheikh, deputy engineer C R Gabhane and other NMC staff and police officials of the area.
At this time commissioner warned the encroachers to remove the encroachments. He then issued directives to NMC staff and officials of police department to remove the encroachments if they are there in spite of the warning.
Similarly commissioner carried out inspection of busy areas like, Jhansi Rani square, Hindi Mor Bhavan, Regent Cinema, Cinemax, Maharajbaugh road.
He observed that footwear shops, ready made garments shops had encroached upon the area. Near Regent cinema, Patel Footwear, New Vicky Boot House, Sunday Footwear, Taj Footwear, Kohinoor Footwear, Sona Footwear, Prince Footwear, Modern Footwear and others had done encroachments on footpath.
It was similarly observed that near Cinemax, Friends Chinese Corner had illegally got the shop sublet to it. On Maharajbaugh road he found encroachments of fruit vendors, ready made garment shops and eatable item stalls on large scale. The commissioner immediately ordered the staff including assistant commissioner, Subhash Jaidev and traffic police to remove the encroachements.
Assistant police commissioner, Gawande assured the commissioner of the police departments full co-operation for removal of encroachments.
