Nagpur: For the fifth consecutive day, no Covid-19 death was reported in Nagpur district on Tuesday. There is a marginal rise in single-day cases as 20 people tested positive but active cases have gone down to 113. Of the single-day Covid-19 cases, one case reported is from outside Nagpur district. Nagpur rural reported more cases than the cases registered in the city.
In Nagpur rural, 12 persons tested positive while the city reported 7 cases. With these, the cumulative cases reached 5,77,653. Of the cumulative cases, 9,945 people found positive are not the residents of the district. There is quite a good rise in single-day recovery as 37 people became free from coronavirus. This has taken the cumulative recovery to 5,67,203. With slight rise in single-day cases, the recovery rate though did not come down, it has not increased too. It stood at 98.19%.

The district had witnessed a rise in hospitalised cases on Monday. But on Tuesday, the cases reduced to half to 32. Testing in Nagpur district has gone up to 1,946. Nagpur rural reported 572 testing while the city registered 1,374 tests. With these the cumulative testing rose to 53,47,804. The samples examined through RT PCR were 1,647 while 299 were through Rapid Antigen Test.
