Nagpur: SNDL Nagpur, the distribution franchisee of MSEDCL for three zones of Nagpur city, has undertaken a drive to repair and replace feeder pillars, distribution boxes and other open panels. The drive is aimed at pre-summer maintenance activities in the DF Area as infrastructure replacement and upkeep require outages for longer duration for avoiding inconvenience to consumers. The other important aspect is that these open panels make it convenient for those involved in power theft to do their bit which has been quite a menace for the franchisee. But more importantly they also prove to be fatal for those who try to venture near these infra elements for any reason. This drive has been initiated in the beginning of this month and would be executed in various parts of DF area in a phased manner to end up well before arrival of full-fledged heat.
SNDL has appealed to the consumers to cooperate in this maintenance period as the heat is still bearable and their bit of cooperation would help the distribution franchisee in ensuring continuous and qualitative power supply during the forthcoming summer days. Further, it has also appealed the consumers to maintain vigil about any elements in the society trying to tamper or damage the electrical infrastructure in any way.
It has been noticed that despite regular efforts by the franchisee to maintain infrastructural elements such as panel-doors and bus bars, notorious elements are able to cause damage by dismantling the panel-doors etc for easy sale and money. Public participation and vigilance is a need of the hour in public interest too, as all of this infrastructure is a national property and the entire society pays for any damage to the same. If observed, such information can be reported immediately to the nearest consumer touch point or on the toll-free helpline no 1800-313-9600.
SNDL has further informed that there would be series of other important maintenance activities carried out by SNDL as a part of its summer maintenance drive and would be shared with public at large from time to time.
