Nagpur: The SNDL, a franchise of MSEDCL is updating its power supply service in the wake of ensuing Maharashtra Legislative Assembly’s winter-session, here in the city. The updating includes O&M works like re-stringing, trimming of trees along the power-line and maintenance of various equipment of electricity distribution infrastructure, regulating power supply system and setting up of special control room for the purpose.
The winter session of Maharashtra State Legislature is a vital activity of law makers of state in the city. As it is starting from December 7, 2015, all departments extend their full cooperation, whether direct or indirect, for the smooth conduct of proceedings of the House, and they on their toes right from now onward.
The SNDL ensures quality power-supply to 3/4 of urban population, and it pays special attention to Civil Lines Zone during winter session period in terms of uninterrupted power supply. It is because vital offices and residences are located in Civil Lines Zone, such as, Vidhan Bhavan, Ramgiri (CM’s official residence), MLA Hostel, Ravi Bhavan, High Court and several government offices. Like every year, this year too the SNDL is well armed with its role for uninterrupted power supply.
Accordingly, all sub-stations under its control have been serviced and put on guard. The test of transmitter insulation resistance, tightening of jumper, oil top up, earthing, all contact points and connections has been done. Even trimming of trees along the power-line, re-stringing of overhead conductors, load distribution of transformers. The SNDL will post its well-equipped staff on round-the-clock service and the special control room will monitoring the functioning. All technical and non-technical staff members have been accordingly instructed so that the Legislative Assembly must not face any problem.
The SNDL once again assures its consumers of world-class power supply service.
