Some NCP leaders are upset after seeing love between BJP and Ajit Pawar: Bawankule

Nagpur: The senior BJP leader and MLC Chandrashekhar Bawankule said that some NCP leaders are upset over good relations between the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ajit Pawar. “Both have a good opinion of each other. Also, seeing the love between BJP and Ajit Pawar, some people in NCP are feeling uneasy. That is why some people in the NCP are creating controversy over the incident in Dehu,” said Bawankule pointing fingers at the internal politics of the NCP.

Notably, the Shila Mandir of Saint Tukaram Maharaj was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Dehu on Tuesday. Along with Prime Minister Modi, Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of Pune Ajit Pawar and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Devendra Fadnavis were also present on the stage. “The host did not mention Ajit Pawar’s name for the speech. After that, the Prime Minister himself was seen signalling to Ajit Dada to give a speech. On the contrary, the NCP should thank Modi for giving priority to Ajit Dada,” said Bavankule.

Originally, Ajit Dada did not speak due to time constraints, as he also had programmes in Mumbai. In Dehu, the Prime Minister himself was telling Ajit Dada to give a speech after seeing how the NCP had earlier treated Devendra Fadnavis during the inauguration of Police Bhavan and Samruddhi Mahamarga in Nagpur, Bavankule said.

“I don’t think Ajit Dada has any objection to yesterday’s incident. On the contrary, someone in the NCP is upset that Ajit Dada and the BJP are treating each other with love. Many in the NCP today think that Ajit Dada will make a comeback tomorrow. That is why an unnecessary controversy is being created,” Bavankule alleged.

Insult to Maharashtra: Supriya Sule:

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP Supriya Sule on Tuesday said Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar was not allowed to speak in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a temple inauguration event in Dehu, Pune.

Reacting to the incident, Supriya Sule said, “This is very serious, painful, shocking, and unjustified. This is an insult to Maharashtra. If our Deputy Chief Minister is on the stage, then it is his right to speak.” She said that while BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, who is the Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly, spoke at the event, Ajit Pawar was not allowed to speak.
