Nagpur: The Special Squad of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone 2 Vinita S on Saturday night, raided a shop in Dharampeth on receiving the intel about selling of prohibited tobacco items and seized stock of scented tobacco, gutka worth Rs 1,40,980. Cops have booked Hitesh Ramlal Lalwani, a resident of Khamla and also booked couple of motorcycles and other materials collectively worth Rs 2,15,980.
As per cops, the Special Squad of Vinita S was on patrolling duty when they received secret intel regarding a illegal stock of scented stock stored at R K Traders, Coffee House Chowk. Acting swiftly on the input the squad comprising PSI Kunal Dhurat, Constables, Pramod Arkhel, Mahesh Bawane, Jayanta Nandekar, Shafi Khatib, Aquib Sheikh, Aaba Munde raided the premises and seized the stock of tobacco and gutka.
