Speeding Bolero knocks lady school teacher dead in Pardi, Nagpur

Nagpur: In a hit-and-run incident, a school teacher lost her life as a speeding four-wheeler collided with her moped. The fatal incident took place at the HB Town Square under the jurisdiction of Pardi Police Station.

The victim, identified as Swati Hariom Telrandhe (35), was a resident of Plot No 9, New Bidipeth, Sakkardara. At 7.15 am, Swati was on her way to Jagjeevanram School where she served as a teacher. Suddenly, a speeding Mahindra Bolero vehicle hit her two-wheeler from behind near HB Town Square.

After the impact, Swati fell down on the road and sustained severe injuries. Despite immediate medical attention, Swati’s injuries proved fatal, leading to her demise. The driver of the Bolero fled the scene, leaving behind the injured teacher, said police.

Pardi Police have registered a case under Sections 279, 337, and 338 of the Indian Penal Code, read with Sections 184, 134, and 177 of the Motor Vehicle Act, reflecting the severity of the incident. The police are investigating the case to arrest the driver of the ‘killer’ vehicle.
