A middle-aged man and a youth were seriously injured after a speeding Skoda car hit their vehicle late Saturday night in Pachpaoli area.
According to information, Laxman Haridas Kumbhare (35), a resident of Binaki layout and his friend Sheikh Razzaq (25) were returning home on Saturday night around 11.40 pm on their Mahindra Alfa (MH 49/D/1887) after completing weekly market. While heading towards Indora Square, in front of Gamdoor Bar, a speeding Skoda (MH 31 DV 9823) car dashed into their vehicle. Both Laxman and Razzaq sustained serious injuries with the impact of the accident, however, the culprit fled the spot.
Passers-by rushed both Laxman and Razzaq to Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital where they are undergoing treatment. Pachpaoli police have registered an offence under Sections 279, 337, 338 and 427 of the IPC.
