Spine-chilling: 12-year old boy killed as tin sheets loaded in mini truck cut his throat in Hudkeshwar

Nagpur: In a spine-chilling incident, a 12-year old boy was killed on the spot when tin sheets loaded in a mini truck cut his throat. The horrific incident took place in Hudkeshwar area here on Monday night. The unidentified driver of the mini truck went absconding and is being searched by cops.

The deceased has been identified as Piyush Shrikant Ghode (12), resident of Plot No. 14, Rajapeth, Hudkeshwar. Around 7 pm on Monday, the unidentified driver parked his tin sheet laden Tata Ace mini truck (MH-31/CB 6774) in front of Gangadhar Kirana Stores, Rajapeth. The negligently parked vehicle led to the terrible mishap as Piyush, riding on bicycle, suddenly lost control and fell right on sharp-edged protruding tin sheets. As a result, his throat was cut severely. The profusely bleeding kid died on the spot even before he could be administered any medical help.

Hudkeshwar API Sawant, based on the complaint lodged by deceased Piyush’s father Shrikant Baburao Ghode (46), booked the unidentified driver of the Tata Ace mini truck under Section 304(A) of the IPC and searching for him. Further probe is underway.
